Zephyr had lead her to the bottom of the headmaster's tower and she was grateful. At least now she could get down to business. Once she was confirmed that she had the job she wouldn't have to be stressed out. Chaz was sure that the Head would understand that she had gotten a bit lost. After all she had not attended the school.
She stepped onto the staircase and it began to move. Charlize gripped the rail and wondered how Xavier was doing. He had seemed keen to ditch her which was understandable. He would most likely not want many people knowing that they were related and she respected that. He was 14 now. Her little man was growing up and it wouldn't be long before he was off in a job of his own and starting a family.
That thought left her as she reached the top of the staircase. Straightening her robes and running a hand through her hair Charlize knocked on the door and then pushed it open. "I apologise for being late Professor Wallace. I got a little lost in the castle." Her French accent was not going anywhere anytime soon.

Geoffery sat in his office. Still unsure of his actions as headmaster. He wasn't used to Hogwarts yet and his brief stint here in the Triwizard tournament hadn't really given him much of a chance to learn the school. He sighed as he leaned back in his chair. He had an interview today. Someone he hadn't thought to see again. Just thinking about her set his heart ablaze.
He heard the staircase moving and he looked up. Soon enough he would have his interview and he wasn't exactly sure if she would even remember him after all this time. He wasn't sure she'd remember what they were or what they had but he hoped so. He looked over her resume again and sighed. She had been active since he had seen her last and he was feeling slightly intimidated.
He looked up as the door opened. "Don't worry about it Professor Guy." he said as he looked at her. "I'm still learning the castle myself." he said. His voice not wavering even though his heart was. "How was your trip to England?" he asked.

Chaz looked at the man sitting in front of her and something clicked inside. he face was so familiar though a little more hairy than when they had first met. Geoffrey Wallace. No no no. When she had seen the name Wallace never had she thought it would be him. Once again her mind flicked to Xavier and what would happen if they both spoke. Oh no. It was too late to back out of the job now. SHe would just have to hope and try to keep them apart.
"It's been fine. The castle, it does take some getting used to. Especially the moving stairs." Charlize managed to get out. She moved forward and took a seat opposite him feeling like her legs weren't going to hold her. "I'm rather surprised to see you again." Chaz said dropping her professional approach for a few moments. It had been 14 years since they had spent any time together and she was about to take a job at the castle working with him.

He just grinned. "The moving stairs have a few secrets to them I'll show you the next time I'm out of the office." he said with a sad gesture to all the headmaster papers he was going through. "I'm glad you remember me." he said as he looked at her. "How have you been all this time?" he asked. "Doing well I assume." Geoff said as he looked at her. "So, Your here for the...." he asked as he couldn't remember what position she had applied for. His brain had been going through everything so much he was losing track of things. "Defense against the Dark Arts position right?" He asked as he looked at her.
"Well, Why do you think you should have the position?" he asked. Smiling softly as he looked at her. Already knowing she was more then qualified for the job. Geoff waited for her reply as he looked at her. He smiled at her as he glanced over her file. He saw she had a son and he looked at the age and what it was. And his brain started to race. He couldn't be sure but he glanced back up at her still waiting for a reply as his brain tried to process it.

"It's not that easy to forget you." Chaz said simply. Though that had two meanings to it. Only one of which Geoff would understand. "I haven't been too bad thank you." She was doing well. She had done well alone and with Xavier and that was how it would stay. She then nodded, "That and the deputy headship."
When he asked what made her think she should have the position she raised a brow. "I have worked with the French Auror department since I left school. I worked my way up the ladder there. If someone is qualified to teach defence it would be me, don't you think. On top of that, I know how to deal with paperwork and responsibility." Charlize told him confidently. She was sure that he knew most of this though and this was just going through the paces.

As she told him it wasn't that hard to forget him his suspicions grew stronger. "I'm glad that you enjoyed that night." he said softly. "Well, I would have to say you probably can have both." he said as she told him about working with the French Auror department. "If your willing to help me with this paperwork I'd be really appreciative." he said as he looked at her. His eyes watching her as he smiled.
"Apart from all this business junk. How have you been apart from work and such. I'm assuming school went well for you." He said. "Even though you had a kid." he said as he looked at her file. "I'm glad it all worked out in the end" he said with his old school smile. He didn't know if it would still have it's effect but he couldn't help but try. Seeing as how that one night had left it's mark on him.

Chaz went a little red. It was a fling but a good fling for a number of reasons. She smiled at him as he said she could have the jobs. "I'll help you out with the paperwork." Charlize told him. It would not bother her and if they shared it it meant he could actually deal with the students and staff and not sit up there all day, signing and reading.
It had moved off being professional now. Chaz kept calm as possible as Geoff mentioned the fact she had a child. "Yes, I passed with O's and Xavier is wonderful." Charlize told him simply. That was not a lie. Her son was a good person and she was proud of him. When Geoff smiled at her she was reminded of why the fling had happened in the first place as a course of butterflies fluttered in her stomach. "What about you? How was everything with you?'

He smiled. "It was good. Finished with High marks as well. Got the teaching position and haven't really looked back since." he said. His eyes looking at her. "Apart from that I've just been teaching and working. Haven't really been up to much. Did you ever get married?" he asked as he looked at her. Her file didn't say if she had or not so he wasn't sure if this was ground they could cover easily or not. "Is Xavier settling in alright? And Should I meet him?" He asked her. "I mean he is a new student and all coming in a bit later then the sorting." he said. "Does he need to be sorted or was he transferred into a house already?" he asked curiously.

"I'm glad you finished well." Chaz said honestly. He deserved to be happy. from what she remembered he was a bright chap and had obviously put it to good use.
"No I never got married. Engaged once but it didn't work out. What about you?" Chaz asked him. Not that it mattered right? Why would she care if he was married? Because if he was married and had his own kids it would make it easier on her and Xavier. He would already have a family and wouldn't need to be a part of theirs at any point. And then his next few questions set her into panic.
Charlize cleared her throat. "He's settling in fine. Already been sorted. Someone sorted that before we came over. A Gryffindor." Chaz couldn't help but smile. It suited him well. Brave to the point of being stupid. Yes, that was most definitely her son. "I can help him if he needs anything." Chaz told him as kindly as she could without sounding like she was hiding something.

Geoffery just smiled softly. "I was never married. Never even dated. Haven't really had the time for it. Been too busy with work and trying to keep my sanity." he said as he smiled at her. "I'm glad he's settling in alright." he said. "Just want to make sure he's doing fine." Geoff said. his suspicions fading slightly. "A Gryffindor. That's good. I think he will make some great friends." he said with his smile again.

His answer made her smile in spite of herself. She had always been too busy which was why she had had so many things fall through. Xavier and work came before anything else in her life.
"Yes, I've been told that he shouldn't have a problem making friends. He can be quite awkward at times." That was an attribute he had gotten from her without doubt. Geoff was much more forward than herself.

He saw her smile and smiled in return. Glad she was happy. Though he didn't know the reason. "What about you? Are you settling in alright?" he asked as he looked at her. "Apart from learning the school and all?" he asked her curiously. His eyes watching her as he tried to take in the changes of her appearance. not really able to find any. "By the way, You still look amazing." he said softly. "I can't really tell the difference between the you now and the you that was fifteen." he said smiling as he looked at her. "Apart from your experiences and growth mentally." he said smiling. "Still beautiful." he added.

"I'm settling in fine." Chaz told him happily. "There are some very kind students around the place." She would be forever grateful to Zephyr for showing her where the office was. He was a very pleasant boy.
Charlize blushed as Geoff spoke about her. "I'm probably a little taller too." In the spirit of being an honest person she glanced up at him and said, "You've gotten better looking with age." He had been gorgeous when he was seventeen but it looked like time had only made things better for him. Chaz wondered what it would have been like if she had told him.

He nodded. "Thanks. But I don't think so." he said simply as he looked at her. "I don't know about taller though." he said. "Your still pretty short compared to me." he said grinning as he looked at her. Hoping she would catch the poke. "But you are beautiful." he said. "And I'm grateful that I get the chance to work with you now. Get to know you better." he said softly as he smiled. "One night is great and all But I really did wish for more." he added. "I sent owls but they kept coming back with my letters undelivered." he said.

Chaz pulled a face at him. Of course she was short compared to him but she like it that way. "Stop because you are making me blush." Charlize told him looking away. She looked back up when he mentioned the owls. "I just didn't see the point in keeping contact. We were young and it was a fling. It wouldn't have become anything serious." Charlize told him. It was partially what she had thought. And of course she didn't want to drag him down with a child.
