For the fourth time today, Xavier had manages to have gotten lost in the castle, and now somehow he had ended up by the Lake. Some people may have found it slightly stupid, how he was now in his fourth year and getting lost. But it wasn't Xav's fault. Beauxbatons had a completely different layout to Hogwarts, he use to everything around here yet.
Xavier sat on the ground underneath a tree, and sighed. He wasn't finding it too hard to make friends in classes, it was when he was out of class he had trouble. He didn't want to go up to someone and seem as if he was annoying them. So he was left wandering on his own, and most of the time, getting lost.
Xav still hadn't gotten the feel of the castle yet, the staircase continuously confused him. The staircases just keep on moving, and he completely lost his way. Then he managed to forget what floor he was going on, and which class he was going to.
He didn't resent his mother for transferring him here, she had her reasons. And Xavier respected them. He just needed to get use to the place was all, he would be fine then. Hopefully it wouldn't take all too long.

Lily pushed her way through the crowd of students who had, like herself, just gotten out of class. She made a break for the door of the castle as soon as she could. She definitely needed some fresh air after the History of Magic lesson she had just gotten out of. She made an effort to pay attention in class, but really, who needed to know anything about the past? Lily was more of a present and future person. Not to mention that her head felt like a cave troll was trying escape from it. She headed for one of her favorite places. The lake.
Lily was deathly afraid of the giant squid, but she didn’t see it out today so she and her Gryffindor courage headed for a walk around the perimeter. The green grass swayed in the wind and the cool wind was a refreshing contrast to the stuffy crowded hall she had just exited. She halted her walk about 3 yards from the edge of the lake. She wasn’t very keen on getting to close in case the squid decided it wanted to play, or worse… What if it was hungry?
Lily took off her outer robe as well as her tie and shoved them into the backpack that had been swung over her shoulder. She felt like she could breath now with that stupid tie off. She turned to walk a little ways down the shore when she noticed someone sitting under a tree just to the left of her. She normally would have ignored whoever it was but this was a fellow Gryffindor. Not in her year but in one that she knew was close to her own. She trotted over. “Hey, it’s uhh… Xavier right?” she asked in her usual cheerful voice. She ran her hand through her mane of thick hair as she spoke.

Xavier stayed lost in his own world, as he often did. He liked to run away into his thoughts when he was on his own, he didn't feel lonely then. Sometimes he just felt slightly safer for some reason, but it was his world, and he controlled what was going on.
The Autumn wind blew harshly this time, he wasn't too found of this weather. Xav would rather it be sunny, but it didn't been like that was going to happen anytime soon. The wind picked up a few of the dead red, orange, and brown coloured leaves.Xavier sighed, he wished that he had brought his sketch book with him. This would have made a very good picture, with just a few spots of colour. But he had left it in his dormitory, under his pillow. Maybe another time, and he may find a better place to draw as well. Xavier like to draw from heights, they gave him a better view of the landscape, so that he was't just focusing in on one thing.
As he was about to get up, he heard a girl talk to him. He looked up at her, she looked some-what familiar to him. A fellow Gryffindor, but she wasn't in his year. Xav gave her a smile. "Yes," His french accent was unmissable. "And you're... Lily?" He thought he had heard her name before, often in the commons. She seemed like a nice enough person. Xavier stood up and out stretched his hand/

"Yes, and you're... Lily?"
“Yep. I’m Lily.” Lily replied with a smile and a sunny tone. She pushed her wind-blown hair out of her face with one hand and used to the other to grasp the hand he offered. She recognized that his accent was French and guessed that he must be from France. Maybe he was a transfer since she had not really seen him before, until recently. Though she was not really sure if Hogwarts allowed transfers. She shrugged mentally and allowed her outgoing personality to take over. It would be pretty cool if he had come from another school. She had heard of some other schools but didn’t have the slightest idea of what they could be like.
“You’re from France right? You haven’t always gone to Hogwarts? she asked, trying to clarify he own mental questions as she shifted from one foot to the other. She was not a fan of being still. Lily was a fan of being curious though. She liked to ask questions and she liked to learn things, nevertheless she was far form a know-it-all. She just didn’t like to feel ignorant. Being ill informed made her feel insecure. It was hard to make Lily feel insecure. She knew who she was and had a fiery personality like her mother and people never hesitated to remind her of that.

Xavier gave out a small sigh of relief, he was glad that he got her name right. Otherwise that would have been very embarrassing. He didn't want to muck things up, when he had only just met her. And hopefully he had come off on the right foot with Lily.
Xav gave her a smile. "Yes, I'm from France, I just transferred here to Hogwarts. He stopped then, not wanting to go one. She may have not wanted to hear the rest, and Xavier didn't want to bore her. He sat down again, and looked up a Lily. "Would you like to come and sit with me?" He asked with another smile. Why not ask? His family always said that if you don't ask you'll never get an answer. And Xav wanted to know about Lily as well. Maybe she could tell him more about the castle.
