Hunter was having one of those days, the ones where nothing seems to be going her way. First the hot water cut off in the middle of her washing her hair that morning, pelting her with cold water and forcing her to finish washing it that morning, then her assistant spilt his coffee all over her latest report and her. She got a floo from her bitch of a mother telling her that she was coming to visit, and that meant she had to clean up her pigsty that she called a flat, and to top it all off she was still hung over from the night before, but at least she looked somewhat good. Hunter wasn’t the type of person who would normally get drunk at a party… okay maybe she was but normally she had at least maintain some type of control.

‘What the hell am I doing out of bed again?’

[/b][/color] She thought to herself, she knew the reason, her job, and if is she didn’t want to climb the political chain to one day become the minister… er… well ministress of magic she would be jumping back into back into her bed so fast you wouldn’t have even been aware she had left. Curse her for being so ambitious. But luckily she was on her lunch break and she thought fresh air would do her good. Hunter walked for a little bit walking pass her favorite restaurant on Diagon Alley. It definitely had the best cup of coffee in Wizarding London, and lord knew that she had a thing for coffee. It was sadly one of her weaknesses in life, well that and chocolate…and shirtless men…and pixie sticks.

Running a hand through her hair, trying to straighten it out, attempting to make it a least look good. Holding her head, from the headache she was nursing, she walked in to the coffeehouse and up to the cashier, “A French vanilla cappuccino please,”[/b] she told him. She watched the cashier turn and go get her order before she took a look around the place. At first glance she didn’t really see anyone she knew or anyone that looked her age, and still didn’t see anyone on her second look she still didn’t see anyone her age. “Your cappuccino mam’” The cashier said handing her the steaming hot drink. Sitting down at the closest booth she smiled, glad that this little thing could make her happy if only for a little bit.

It was one of those very rare days, one of those days that Declan actually decided to venture out of Knockturn Alley and into the open. He took his cloak off the hook, and told one of the boys to take care of Borgin and Burkes while he was gone.

He headed out into Diagon Alley, whilst most people knew each other and gave the acknowledging nod of the head or the hello. No one knew Declan to do that, though it would be the reception that he often got in Knockturn Allley. He didn't know why he was here, possibly wanting a change of scenery. Or maybe just some new people to play with, no that was certain. Declan needed to play with some people that didn't know him all too well. Too many people in Knockturn Alley knew not to trust him. He smirked at the thought.

He stopped outside an old coffeehouse, and decided that this maybe a good place to start. He looked around, seemed like the perfect place. Dec went over to the cashier. "Black coffee please." The cashier went to go and make it, whilst Declan lent on the counter and started to look around again. His eyes set on a young woman, she seemed a little everywhere. The cashier cleared his thought, Declan tossed him the money and then went over to the booth where the woman was sitting. "Hello." Dec said, voice smooth as he went to sit opposite her.

Hunter took a sip of her drink, and let out a content sigh. It was funny how little things like this could make her happy. She hadn’t found many reasons to be happy lately. Not with the way her life was going, and today was not making her life any easier. There was just too many issues to deal with and more seemed to be appearing every day. It was all starting becoming too much for her. She ran a hand through her hair, and let out another sigh, feeling another headache coming on. She needed a drink, something, harder and stronger, but alas, it was too early in the day for alcohol. Besides, his mother always said, you shouldn’t drink in the morning it leaves you nowhere to go when you really need it later. So for right now, this cappucino was going to have to do the trick.

She was going in for another sip when she heard a when she heard a voice. Looking up she raised an eyebrow. The producer of the voice was really familiar. Really, really familiar, yet… she couldn’t quite put a name to the face. It was obvious that he couldn’t remember her name, and normally this would piss her off, but seeing as she couldn’t remember his name either, she let it go. Where had she seen him from? She racked her brain for ways she could have known him. Could she have gone to school with him? Her eyes roamed his face. He did have distinct Slytherin like features not to mention a very snake like prescence.

And then it hit her, “Declan Cooper… you asshole,”

[/color] she said shooting him a glare. “You don’t talk to me for 6 years and you think you can just waltz over here with just a Hello… no sir...not today...”

Declan chuckled at her reaction, "Nice to see you too Hunter!" No one ever really gave him a good reaction when he decided to pop up out of no where. Most people got scared, Hunter just seemed annoyed.

He looked at the coffee on the table, and took a sip from it. Though he could eat normal food, it still wasn't something that he really enjoyed. He would dodge it when he could. But in an attempt to look "normal" he started to drink it. Coffee was something that he didn't mind drinking all too much, it had a bitter taste to it.

"So. What have you been up to lately? After six years a catch up was needed. A lot would have changed in the time that they hadn't spoken. Of course on his said, many things had happened, but that couldn't be said to her. Not yet....

Hunter scoffed and rolled her eyes, “Like you care…” she wasn’t sure why she was acting like a bitch about this, people popped in and out of her life all the time. It seemed to be like a common occurance and she should have been used to it by now. She really needed to get her life in order, or she wasn’t sure she was going to make it. She sighed and took another sip of her drink. Yeah… this cappucinno was just not cutting the case. She let her eyes roam over the man infront of him. It had been a while since he had last seen the likes of Mr. Declan Cooper.

They had been in the same house and in the same year back in their hogwarts days, and she had always liked hime for the most part, although he was a little on the quiet side. He was cute, she observed… although that now seemed like an understatement. She definitely liked what she was seeing. Granted, he had never been bad looking, at least not that she had seen. Not wanting to seem like a creepy stalker chick, she turned her eyes, back towards her drink and took another small swig.

Ignoring his previous question she looked up at him, “What do you want Declan?”

Declan couldn't help but smirk at what Hunter had said, she was acting like a child. She wasn't like this before, maybe his disappearance had changed her attitude towards her. Somehow, he didn't really want that to be the case.

"Oh come on now, I actually very interested to hear what you've been up to." He grinned and took another sip of his coffee. No doubt would be be high ranking now, that woman always had her dreams set higher than her. A slight wave of nostalgia passed over him. He realised how much he missed speaking to her.

Hunter couldn’t lie, she missed the hell out of Declan, as much she didn’t want to admit. They had been inseparable when they were younger, and then she had to go fuck it all up. The misunderstanding had ripped through their friendship like a forest fire. They both were a bit hot temperered, hers probably being the most extreme. She couldn’t help the smile that rose to her lips at his smile. She shook her head, the smile still sitting on her lips. “You know same old, same old, life’s still shit, but I finally got that job at the ministry, prett high up there now,” she said with a small smirk, “what about you Dec? Find any trouble while I was away?”

Declan chuckled as Hunter told him what she had been up to. "Why am I not surprised with that? Typical, absolutely typical of you! I expected worse!" He jokes with her. It was nice t actually be able to talk to someone, and have a laugh. Instead of the usual serious talk he had.

"Went travelling for a little, working at Borgin and Burkes now. Think I might be off again though, I need a change of scenery again." He had been playing around with the idea for a while now. But still wasn't exactly sure on what he was going to do.
