It had been a while since the Quidditch incident and Zara had laid into her team badly. From now on they would have the pitch to themselves. Which to be honest would be good for many reasons. No sharing tactics. No arguments.
Zara had finished her last lesson and was on her way down to the great hall. She was looking forward to tucking into some dinner. Maybe she would go and sit with Bert for dinner. Or maybe Matt would be around. And if he wasn't maybe Elisabetta would welcome her. She wasn't short on friends, it was just her choice of who she wanted to actually spend time with.

Matt walked through the corridors. A small group of Slytherin's following him like usual. He kept up his head as he walked. His fingers subconsciously fiddling with his wand as he kept his eyes straight ahead. Any questions that were asked of him he just redirected to someone else. Leaving his mind free to think about who he wanted to recruit or what he wanted to do. He looked around the next corridor and saw Zara. he smiled softly and looked back at his 'henchmen' "Go ahead to the Great Hall I shall join you there in a few minutes." he said simply as he looked at them. When one of them objected he frowned. "Did I stutter. I said leave me." he said sharply as he watched them hurriedly move away from himself.

There was a flurry of movement past her and a sharp snap of a voice behind. She turned around and broke from her thoughts to see Matt. The boy he had just spoken to left him and Zara couldn't help but grin. "Matt!" she called to him. The grin was no moving anytime soon. Zara then made her way back over towards him. Well it looked like fate wanted her to join Matt for dinner. "I'm heading down to the Hall for dinner. Are you going for food now?" They could walk down together.

Matt pulled out his best smile as he looked at her. you can use her a voice whispered into his mind as he walked over to her. "How are you?" he asked as he felt the powerful surge to just use this young woman instead of letting her in. The desire overpowering all others in his mind as he watched her. "Food would be good." he said as he turned toward the stairs. "Don't have any other plans?" he asked as he looked at her.

"I'm not to bad. Not busted up anymore so thats good. You look better too." Zara said giving him the quick once over. She felt a small flutter in her heart. He was ridiculously good looking but tried to keep those thoughts to herself. She moved with him to the stairs and shook her head. "No. No plans. I finished with lessons and I just want some peace and quiet tonight. What about you?" Zara asked casting a sideways glance at him.

He smiled lightly. "Well, They did give us the once over with the magic the morning after." he said simply as he heard the voice in the back of his head. Telling him what to do or say. "Well, I was supposed to go meet up with some friends. but I'd rather spend the time with you." he said. His hands in his pockets still. The wand pressed tight against one of them. "Great Hall or Hogsmeade?" he asked her as he watched her walk. Moving after her softly.

"True." They had been allowed to have their wands back and healed fully. It was nice to have the magic again. Zara had felt quite lost without it. Being from a pureblood family she had very little interaction with the muggle world. When Matt said he would rather spend time with her she felt the blush creep to her cheeks. He wanted to spend time with her rather than his mates. "Well I was banking on the hall but I guess we could wander off to Hogsmeade." Zara said with a shrug. She didn't often break the rules, but why not?

He smiled and offered her his hand. Spells running through his mind as he watched her. Things that would subject her to his will if not subconsciously. The imperious curse came to mind but he dismissed it. He'd want her to believe she was acting on his own. "So, Tell me about Jason." he said as he walked with her. "Have you heard a lot from him lately?" he asked. He was interested in her brother because he sounded like he'd be a good ally to have.

Zara bit her lip when he offered his hand to her. She looked at it before placing her own in it. She wasn't really sure what this was. He seemed to at least be more open with her and it was nice just spending time with him alone rather than in a corridor with his mates around. "Jason?" Zara asked when he mentioned her brother. "He's ok. Just getting on with work really. We haven't owled in a few weeks." Zara told him honestly. "I'm not sure if I'll go home for christmas yet." Things were a little strained between them.

he nodded. "Well if you want to go home. Would you mind if I visited?" he asked her as he looked over at her. His eyes watching hers as he sensed the tension. His hand gently squeezing hers in what he hoped was a reassuring way. "Do you want to fly to hogsmeade or would you rather walk?" he asked smiling

Zara looked at him confused. "Um, yeah if you wanted to. I could ask Jason and he could set up the spare room. But why do you want to visit?" Zara asked him. She wondered if Jason and Matt had spoken before. "I think flying is going to be the safer option." Someone was bound to be roaming the grounds and although she wanted to break the rules she didn't want to get caught. Detentions were never fun.

Matt smiled as he looked at her. "Well, I was kinda hoping that you And I could spend the time away from school and get to know each other better." he said. "Maybe see if we could be more then just friends." he said simply. good. Control the sister through a relationship and gain the brother as an ally the voices whispered. He shook his head at the thought. "If you want that is." he said as he moved to lead her to the roofs. "We can get the brooms up top." he said.

Her stomach flipped slightly. "I think that would be nice. I would like that." Zara said to him. Looked like things were actually working out. Z had been waiting for them to move forward and spend time together. Merlin knew she had liked him long enough. "Ok." Zara said as he mentioned getting the brooms up top. Zara walked along with him. "Was everything ok earlier? You seemed pretty angry with your friend."

He moved with her up the stairs. "It should be fun." he said. His hand in hers as the other one opened the door for her. "It was fine until my friend didn't leave me alone like I said." he said. "I told him I'd join them later down in the Great hall but He wanted to argue with me." he said softly. His eyes looking at her. Flashing green once but turning back into the light blue he normally had

She walked through the door he had opened, still holding his hand. It felt nice to have them touching. A simple gesture but a nice one when she knew that Matt was often closed off and not willing to give people the time of day. "Ah. I understand. Well you shouldn't be so hard on people." Zara muttered. If he was a friend he probably just wanted to hang out.
